October 2, 2011, 1pm until 7pm, the BOBY will host the "Physically Healthy And Talented" Festival at Houston's Discovery Green. The event will kick off early (7:30am) with the Overweight / Obesity Awareness Bike-A-Thon, a family-friendly 4.3 mile ride from the U of H campus, to the Anhueser Bush Stage at Discovery Green, where the BOBY will present challenges, competitions and showcases. Body Mass Index (BMI) screenings will be sponsored by area health care providers, along with vendors promoting healthy eating tips & safe exercise information for youth, adults and seniors.

Registration Early registration is recommended to guarantee your spot in the competitions.

The BOBY encourages high school performing arts and dance programs to enter the Division II Dance Competition categories (DCC) early. Additionally, there will be sports competition, a limited number of vocal performances by regional talent and other fun stuff to enjoy.
